I was recently asked to provide my predictions for the website Future of Everything on where cloud data integration will be 10 to 15 years from today. The healthcare sector is traditionally behind the curve when it comes to IT. But the migration to cloud is now inevitable and will become vitally important to streamlining healthcare as demand continues to rise. That’s why I feel one of the most effective uses of the cloud will be the management of patient data for use by remote clinicians. Cloud will also be invaluable in furthering value-based care, as the real-time analysis of collected data will allow clinicians to identify trends and ensure that treatment is directed to those who need it – BEFORE they need it.
