Woburn, MA, and Ashtead, England – September 2, 2014 – BridgeHead Software, a leader in healthcare data management, today announced BridgeHead RAPid™ Protect Service, a new Software as a Service (SaaS) offering that enables smaller healthcare facilities to make significant improvements to their data protection strategies and methods without incurring a high up front cost. For a moderate monthly fee, BridgeHead provides all the software and services needed to protect a hospital’s enterprise data.
Using both backup and archiving techniques as required, BridgeHead RAPid Protect Service ensures that all selected data is completely protected while also providing ongoing day-to-day care and feeding of the solution once it’s running. The BridgeHead RAPid Protect Service reinforces existing data protection strategies with a complete, enterprise-grade offering that delivers:
- An affordable monthly fee — Enterprise systems data protection provided at an all inclusive, monthly subscription;
- 24-by-7 security – All data is properly protected on a daily basis;
- More employee time – IT staff is freed up to work on other projects;
- Peace of mind – Turnkey SaaS offering ensures all data selected for protection is safe and properly backed up or archived;
- No up-front costs — Large up-front expense for licensing and professional services for installation and configuration are eliminated.

BridgeHead RAPid Protect is sold using a capacity model based on the number of terabytes that need protecting. Starting at 2TB, capacity can be added in 2TB increments. In addition to general protection of all data an additional DICOM image archiving (VNA) module can also be purchased as part of the solution.
