North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust

In this case study you will learn how North Mid selected BridgeHead’s independent clinical archive (ICA), HealthStore®, also referred to as a next generation vendor neutral archive (VNA), to assist in the long-term storage, protection and sharing of patient information from across the organisation to realise their vision of a Single Patient Record.

To begin with, the focus will be on radiology images and associated data following North Mid’s exit from the National PACS contracts. The decision is integral to the Trust’s imaging strategy as the scope of the project will quickly extend to other clinical disciplines such as cardiology and paediatrics initially.

BridgeHead’s VNA, HealthStore® is also being used to house the hospital’s electronic patient records.
