Management Team

Jim Beagle, President and CEO

Jim brings a proven track record of delivering business growth, with more than 25 years of experience in director-level positions across technology, distribution and consulting.

Most recently, Jim was executive vice president of worldwide sales and services at CarbonFlow Corporation. Prior to that he served as CEO of Extraprise International, divisional VP of Object Design, European director of UIS (one of the companies that formed Sprint), and a number of sales and marketing roles at ICL (now part of Fujitsu).

Jim holds an MBA from Henley Management College, as well as a Diploma in Management Studies from Kingston Management College and a degree from the London School of Economics.

Tony Cotterill, Chairman on the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President and Chief Products Officer

Tony has worked in IT for over 30 years with over 25 of these years spent building and managing software businesses in the UK, Netherlands and USA. Tony founded BridgeHead Software in 1994.

He previously managed the European subsidiary of Raxco Software following its merger with UIS, where he had established and led UIS' overseas divisions to profitability.

Tony's introduction to storage management was as an IT Director responsible for providing IT services to the civil engineering community. It was from here that he saw the need for an independent software provider that would concentrate on storage management issues.

Roy Stew, Chief Operating Officer

Roy has over 30 years experience in the IT industry, and over 20 years at senior and executive levels. As COO, Roy is responsible for BridgeHead's world wide operations, support and services.

Roy brings the experience of building an IT services business from a zero start, to a pan-European operation of over 1600 staff. In the wake of this and other successful ventures, Roy set up his own company to advise IT organizations on business development. In this capacity he consulted for BridgeHead and as they say in the advert "he liked the company so much, he bought into its future" and so joined BridgeHead in 2005.

Roy holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Manchester University, and is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Institute for Independent Business.

Michael Ball, Senior Vice President, North America

Mike has worked in Healthcare, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device markets for over 20 years, managing sales, marketing and services functions for European and US businesses. As SVP, North America, Mike uses his industry expertise to guide BridgeHead’s sales, marketing and services activities in the region.

He previously managed the Marketing and Professional Services divisions for InfoMedics Inc., a pharmaceutical marketing services provider and was a member of the Senior Management Team at Phase Forward Inc., the company that pioneered the industry adoption of web-based clinical trials.

Mike holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Aberdeen University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of London.

Gareth Griffiths, Chief Technology Officer

A founding member of BridgeHead Software, Gareth has over 30 years experience in systems design, product management, and leading software development teams. As CTO, Gareth is responsible for the BridgeHead product direction and software development.

Gareth led VMS technical development groups at Raxco-UIS, and was technical director for software at MTI and, subsequently, at MultiStream. Gareth has kept what is now the BridgeHead core development team together through several company mergers and acquisitions. He was instrumental in the management buyout that allowed BridgeHead to acquire and build on his development group and the technology portfolio that is the basis of the company's business today.

Gareth holds a BA (Hons) in mathematics from Oxford University.
