Homerton NHS Digitally Transforms The Outpatients Department (2019)

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust embarked on a digital transformation programme for its Outpatients department following the success of its earlier Emergency Department (ED) transformation. Watch this video to learn about the Trust’s plans to:

• reduce manual processing and workflows
• move to a paperlite status
• aggregate all patient information (outside of the Cerner EPR) into an Independent Clinical Archive (ICA)
• present all data in the ICA through Cerner ‘in patient context’ – providing staff with a single environment for all patient information
• save £1.7m per year.
