Industry veteran to expand firm’s presence in U.S. and Canadian markets as healthcare seeks strategies to manage and store escalating volumes of clinical and administrative data

Woburn, MA– April 20, 2010 – BridgeHead Software, the Healthcare Storage Virtualization (HSV) company, today announced that Michael Ball, PhD, has joined the firm’s executive leadership team as Senior Vice President, North America. Dr. Ball brings nearly 25 years of marketing, business development and research experience, and will guide BridgeHead’s efforts to meet healthcare’s escalating need for effective data management and storage technologies.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ball has combined a solid academic background with strong strategic and leadership skills. Before joining BridgeHead Software, he served as Vice President of Marketing & Professional Services at InfoMedics for four years, where he oversaw all marketing, product management and professional services functions for the company. During his tenure, he implemented business management systems, and introduced a commercial focus and inside sales program to accelerate revenue growth in excess of 35% per year. Prior to his position at InfoMedics, Dr. Ball was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Ardais Corporation, which systemizes the collection and management of biomaterial. He received his undergraduate degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, and his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of London.
