In this article, Storage Newsletter cover one of the UK’s largest image migration projects – the one at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust migrated over 1.7 million radiology studies (126 million DICOM images) held in the central data store (CDS), before expiration of the national PACS contracts, into BridgeHead’s vendor neutral archive (VNA), HealthStore®, in a non-proprietary industry format, so they are accessible and available for use by clinicians at the point of care.
