Webinar Recording: A 360-Degree Patient History: Realistic Or Pipedream?

For clinicians and support staff, access to a 360-degree view of a patient, available at the point of care, is the ideal, but is it a realistic one? In hospitals alone, a full patient history is often dispersed across EPR solutions, siloed departmental systems (such as radiology PACS), archives of supporting paper documents, and the increasing array of legacy applications (that are often borne following the introduction or replacement of existing systems). Add to this the need to share patient data: between Trusts and GPs; across STPs; as part of regional image sharing programmes; and with affiliated private hospitals (to name a few); and the situation is exacerbated further. Ultimately, this complex web of data sources, and the associated workflows, inhibits clinicians from doing the job in hand, delivering quality patient care.

In this webinar, we will explore whether the idea of a 360-degree view of a patient is a pipedream? Does too much information cause as many issues as not having enough? Or are there real-life examples of forward-thinking NHS organisations that are moving ever closer to providing a complete digital patient record? To answer these and other questions, we have a number of esteemed panellists from a range of NHS Trusts who will share their thoughts, ideas and experiences when it comes to accessing patient information.
